Hello Skate Shops!
Pardon My Thrashing is headquartered in the Hermosa neighborhood in The City of Chicago. In the beginning, we started out as a Facebook social group back in 2012. We recognized that there were so many skaters that were the last of their crew that still skated but didn’t know each other. That PMT Facebook page really helped a lot of skateboarders to get to know one another and was used a lot to see who wanted to go out and skate.

As the group grew, we would get asked if we made merch and could sponsor events. In addition to those requests, we also recognized that we needed to shake up the local skateboarding scene and take PMT to the next level. In 2015 we became an LLC and in 2016 we had merch and team riders!

We know it’s super important to look out for our team riders and make sure they have a positive sponsorship experience. We are at around 20 riders across PMT and 606 Wheel Company! We also know how important it is to look out for the local skate shops. We work with skate shops all year long. Everything from sponsoring events to posting merch drops at the shops. Whatever we can we do to help promote your shop!
“We treat our riders right as well as the shops we help support and do business with.”
In 2022 we started turning some of our top riders pro and currently have pro riders for PMT as well as pro riders on 606! We started 606 Wheel Company in 2022, offering top grade wheels and accessories like rails and hardware. The “606” in 606 Wheel Company comes from all Chicago Zip Codes start with 606.

Owners: Greg & Maria Roberts
Greg Roberts has been skateboarding since 1985. He skates almost every day. Skateboarding has essentially been his guiding light since he started. Greg started PMT & 606 as way to support Chicago skateboarding and beyond. A way to recognize and support amazing skateboarders through sponsorships and sponsoring events. “I’m so fortunate to have Maria by my side helping to make PMT what it is today. She helps with a ton of behind the scenes work and is Queen of the event booth!”
